Our forecast for this weekend appears to be too soggy to host the Women’s Learn To MTB clinic. The event has been postponed until June 22nd. There’s still some room in the class as well, so if you’re interested in signing up, let us know!
Women’s Learn to Mountain Bike Course is returning Saturday
Here’s the scenario: You are a woman. You see people riding mountain bikes on trails in the woods. You think, “that looks like fun and I want to have some fun!”
It sounds simple, right? Well, this is pretty much what it’s all about. You may already have a decent mountain bike, or you may aspire to purchase one, but venturing off the beaten path seems a bit intimidating. You may already venture into the trails but you’re not sure how to tackle the challenges that present themselves.
The goal with mountain biking is always to ride more and walk less. Being able to get over a log, climb a steep hill and flow down a tricky descent are skills that help you to keep on riding, no matter what, and give you the confidence to be more adventurous on your bike. Freewheel’s Women’s Learn To Mountain Bike course aims to do exactly that. Our friendly female coaches take the participants through in-class theory, small obstacle skills and on-trail practice. Plus, we provide lunch at mid-day! All of this for $85.
If you already ride a real (ie: from a bike shop) mountain bike, bring it! If you’re just getting your feet wet (or dirty) and don’t have your own bike, we have rentals!
The course is scheduled for Saturday,
June 1st, 2013, 10am-4pm, and a rain date of Saturday, June 22nd will be used if necessary. Drop by or call Freewheel to sign up. The clinic begins and ends at Freewheel. If you have more questions, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or dial 905-628-5126.
Hope to see you soon!
