Opus Allegro

We’re pretty excited about the 2016 Opus Allegro series here at Freewheel. It is built with comfort and speed in mind, making it perfect for crushing kilometer after kilometer of open roads. The 28c tires roll comfortably and efficiently on pavement, but also open up tons of gravel road options. The Allegro is available in 3 different specs, all sharing the same carbon frame to suit your needs and budget. The progressive geometry allows for many versatile fitting, meaning it’s easy to tune the Allegro to your riding style. Visit us at Freewheel for a fitting and test ride! We’ll help you find the perfect road bike.

FREEWHEEL CYCLE ANNUAL BICYCLE AND GEAR SWAP!

Freewheel’s Annual Bicycle and Gear Swap is Back!

Saturday, March 26, 2016 10am – 4pm

Have some old gear that you think someone else could put to good use? Maybe you’ve realized that bike you bought on special really DOESN’T fit. Maybe it’s a gift that just didn’t work (sorry mom and dad). Bring your old bikes and gear down to be put into our swap!

How does it work?

Simply bring your bike down to us anytime until Thursday, March 24 (assuming no parts are necessary to order. EARLIER IS BETTER!). We will check over your bike, assess any necessary repairs, and discuss a selling price with you. You will have to pay for the repairs regardless of if your bike sells. On the day of the swap we will have all the bikes and gear displayed for people to view, and if your bike/gear is purchased you can return for 80% of the value in cash, or 100% in store credit. If your bike does not sell you MUST promptly return to pick it up.

*Bike shop quality bikes and parts only*

Come on down, sell some of your gear and pick up a great riding deal for this coming season!

(You can also check out and “attend” our facebook event! –https://www.facebook.com/events/1122437871123075/)

ABOUT BIKE MONTH

What began in Toronto as a Bike to Work Day celebration in 1989 has evolved to become one of the largest events of its kind in Canada and is now celebrated across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). Bike Month brings together families, artists, commuters and community groups to promote cycling at hundreds of events all month long.

Bike Month 2015 is supported across the GTHA by Smart Commute – a program of Metrolinx, and locally by The City of Toronto, The City of Mississauga, The City of Hamilton,  The City of Burlington, The Region of Peel, York Region, and Durham Region.

Check out the event calendar to find out what’s happening in your area and don’t forget to sign up to participate on May 25 for Bike to Work Day!
